Topic: Gamma-Ray Bursts: From Engines to AI Applications
Resume: In this presentation, to help the audience become familiar with the type of work we are doing at IHEP, I will discuss new theoretical understandings of Gamma-Ray Bursts, particularly those related to highly rotating, magnetized neutron stars (magnetars), and a framework to constrain their core equation of state. Moreover, I will present some new observational features of GRB jets and possible early supernova signatures. Finally, I will describe the development of the AI network we have designed for classification and redshift prediction in the SDSS survey and its extension to the GRB domain.
