The "Artemis Accords", an international partnership framework for civilian space exploration, was presented at the Astronomical Observatory in Belgrade.
This framework includes agreements between NASA and other countries around the world and relates to cooperation in civilian exploration and use of the Moon, Mars, comets and asteroids for peaceful purposes. This agreement has been joined by 60 countries around the world so far, and after the program was presented, Serbia was invited to be among the signatories. The presentation was organized by the US Embassy in Serbia, and was presented by officials from the US State Department and the space agency NASA.
The event was attended by the Minister of Science, Technological Development and Innovation, Academician Béla Bálint, representatives of the US Embassy, representatives of ministries, faculties, institutes, science and technology parks and other institutions in the field of science and diplomacy.
